Cedar Breaks
Cedar Breaks National Monument, Utah
Despite its proximity to Zion and Bryce, Cedar Breaks is not well known. At 10,000 feet it is situated on one of the highest plateaus in the western U.S., on the edge of the “break” to the desert below. The view extends hundreds of miles past dramatic sandstone formations. Shooting at noon in early June, with the thermometer reading a balmy 32 degrees, as seen from the remnants of snow, I used a multi-image stitch for greater detail.
