Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming

At Schwabacher Landing in the Tetons, I came upon a moose family - bull, cow and calf - browsing in the grasses along the riverbanks. They were quite intent on their feeding and seemed oblivious to my presence, so I set up and shot for a couple of hours. This shot is one of my favorites as it shows the connection between mother and calf. The lighting was not ideal as they are mostly backlit, and their dark hides make it difficult to improve on their visibility, but the tenderness of the moment helps make up for the technical difficulty of the shot.
