North Canyon, Grand Canyon Natioinal Park

A fairly long, dusty hike up a side canyon of nearly monochromatic reddish-brown rock brought me to a pool with a rivulet of water (at the time I was there) flowing into it. The sight of the water reflecting the sky, as seen through a polarizer, and reflecting again in the pool, was striking.
