July 27, 2018  •  Leave a Comment

After a break this summer for some travel in Eastern Europe and Colorado, I'm back exhibiting at the following locations between now and year end:

  • August 18-19 at the Scotts Valley Art & Wine Festival (www.svartfestival.com)
A cool(er), fun spot to spend a day near the coast on a hot August day!  Open Sat. 10-6, Sun. 10-5
  • November 23-25 and November 30 to December 2 at the 337 Mirada Art Gallery in Half Moon Bay (www.337miradaart.com)
A modern, spacious gallery on the coast.  Late fall is a good time to visit.  An excellent opportunity to do some holiday shopping!  Open 11-6 each day.
  • July through September at Mistral in Redwood Shores
A nice restaurant on the lagoon opposite Oracle HQ

There will be a variety of artists at each location.  I will will be showing many new prints, largely metals, as well as past favorites.  Metal prints have become very popular for their clear, vibrant appearance.  For a preview, visit my Recently Added gallery or my main gallery at stevetoll.zenfolio.com.  Come by to see them in person and gain a first hand appreciation of this media.  Please tell and/or bring your friends.

I look forward to seeing you at one of these events!

Fall 2016

This past fall I managed a visit to the Dalmatian coast of Croatia, including Dubrovnik and Split, and to Zagreb, the Croatian capital, and found a fascinating mix of history and cultures, both ancient and modern, and enjoyed the chance to see some relatively undeveloped parts of Eastern Europe.  I particularly enjoyed visiting Plitvice Lakes, a national park with beautiful lakes and waterfalls.

Shortly afterward I spent some time in the Appalachian Mountains (Shenandoah and the Great Smokies), a region I have wanted to visit and photograph for some time.  It was during fall color, which is distinctly different from the west coast and one of the best times to visit the east.

I have included some shots from these trips on my website at Recently Added – check them out.  I expect to have some of them on exhibit at my upcoming spring shows.
