Bratislava is the capital of Slovakia, the eastern half of the former Czechoslovakia. One of the delights of Slovakia is that it is not as touristy as many parts of Europe, and its buildings tend to be older and more reflective of the area's historical architecture. The castle which dominates the main hill in the city is especially photogenic at night, when it is floodlit from below. The usual challenges of nighttime photography were accentuated here by the movement of the boat I was on.
