Lee Vining, California

We stopped in Lee Vining before crossing Tioga Pass on the way home in late June. We were fortunate to avoid the fires burning in the Sierras. It was sunset and we were treated to a spectacular, almost surreal, display of light on the clouds over Mono Lake. No doubt fine smoke from the fires contributed to some of the brilliant colors.
