Fushimi Inari Shrine Path

Fushimi Inari is a mountainside shrine dedicated to the Shinto god of rice dating from 711 A.D. (before the capital was moved to Kyoto). It features a great number of gates, or “torii”, covered with inscriptions, which line pathways circling through a forest on Mount Inari.
