Landscape & Nature Photography

I grew up on a farm in Connecticut and have always loved the outdoors. As a youth, when I wasn't studying or working on computers, I spent time hiking, biking, riding, and camping in New England and Colorado.

After moving to California for graduate school, then working as a manager and consultant for tech companies, I began to explore the American West, gradually coming to appreciate its rugged and austere beauty, so different from the East.  Since then I have traveled extensively, photographing around the U.S. and the world.

My photographic focus is on landscapes, wildlife, and abstracts from nature.  I seek to bring the beauty and wonder of special places and moments to others.  My goal is to immerse the viewer visually and emotionally in the natural world, creating a “virtual presence”.

I have exhibited and presented at a number of galleries and shows, including Silicon Valley Open Studios, Stanford University, Los Altos Fine Art Show, Scotts Valley Art & Wine, and Art Ark, and have received numerous awards in photo competitions.  I am currently Executive Director of Silicon Valley Open Studios, and past President of the Sunnyvale Photography Club.
